Mike Hamburg received a Ph.D. in cryptography from Stanford. He now works at Rambus, where he researches cryptography, side channels and secure cores. He designed several cryptographic algorithms: the STROBE lightweight protocol, the Ed448-Goldilocks elliptic curve and the ThreeBears postquantum encryption algorithm. He also helped find the Spectre vulnerability.
