Betsy Cooper

Betsy Cooper is the founding Director of the Aspen Tech Policy Hub at the Aspen Institute. She previously was the founding Executive Director of the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity and was a policy and legal counselor at the Department of Homeland Security. Cooper has managed projects for Atlantic Philanthropies in Dublin, the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit in London, the World Bank and other organizations. Cooper earned a JD from Yale University, a DPhil in politics from Oxford University, an MS in forced migration from Oxford University and a BA in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University. She speaks advanced French.
