Ted Schlein is a leading investor in cybersecurity. His career in venture capital spans 25 years, including at Kleiner Perkins, where he’s led many successful investments (AlienVault, ArcSight, CarbonBlack, Chegg, LifeLock, Mandiant, Phantom Security, and Shape Security). He is Chairman and General Partner of the new cybersecurity VC firm Ballistic Ventures. Previously, he was the founding CEO of Fortify Software and served as VP of Enterprise Solutions at Symantec, where he launched its commercial antivirus solution. Ted serves on the Board of Trustees and Board of Overseers of the Engineering School at the University of Pennsylvania, and also serves on the CISA, DHS and NSA Advisory Boards, IQT Board of Trustees, and is founder of the DoD-sponsored DeVenCI program.
