The second annual RSA® Conference Asia Pacific & Japan 2014 kicked-off with a bang! We are pleased to have introduced a pre-conference day this year bringing additional learning experiences to our attendees. Yesterday we hosted a SANS tutorial on Digital Forensics & Incident Response along with the inaugural “Most Innovative Company” contest  as part of the Innovation Sandbox designed to showcase start-ups and innovation from the region.

DigifyWe are happy to announce Singaporean based start-up Digify, as the winner of the Most Innovative Company contest for 2014! Thank you to all the finalists including AirSig, Capy Inc, and Stratokey Pty Ltd, for participating and a special thank you to our panel of judges.

Today, we began the day with an invigorating performance by Astro Dance – who knew people could move like that before a cup of tea at 8:45 AM!  Then we launched into opening keynotes – Art Coviello, Amit Yoran, Steve Lam and Kevin Kennedy each delivered powerful presentations. After the keynotes, the Exhibition hall opened and was jam-packed all day! There were queues forming at each of the demo booths and great conversations and networking took place throughout. The Welcome Reception had a great buzz and I have a feeling attendees and exhibitors alike didn’t want it to end!

This year we introduced two local language tracks – both the Mandarin and Japanese sessions were well attended along with the other five tracks. Please don’t forget to download the RSA Conference Mobile App and complete the session evaluations so we can be sure to build an even stronger program in 2015.

All-in-all, today was a great start to the Conference.  Expect more excitement and great experiences tomorrow with another 7 keynotes including Professor Andrew McAfee and David Walsh, 20+ track sessions and more great demos from our sponsors and exhibitors. I hope you enjoyed the day!
